Léon Warenghem founded a distillery in 1900 in Lannion on the north coast of Britanny, France to produce a liqueur called Elixir d’Armorique. It is still an independent, family owned distillery and it released its first blended whisky in 1987 called WB Breton.
Armorik is the distillery's single malt brand. It was launched in 1998 which makes it the first single malt whisky produced in France.
Matured for 6 years in an ex-Pineau Des Charentes cask, the whisky is bottled at 59.3% abv.
