West Cork Distillery was started back in 2003 by childhood friends, John O'Connell and the McCarthy brothers, Ger and Denis. John comes from a food science background, while Ger and Denis worked in the fishing industry. Their humble beginnings in Union Hall led them forward to setting up in Skibbereen in 2008, where they are located to this day. Their growth has been exceptional, and they are now one of the biggest operations in Ireland.

This is their first age statement Pot Still whiskey release. It's a mash bill of 66.6% malted and 33.3% unmalted barley, matured in first fill ex-bourbon barrels. It's non-chill filtered, no added colouring and released at 43% ABV.
