Tipperary Boutique Distillery was founded in 2014 by Jennifer Nickerson and Liam Ahearn along with Stuart Nickerson who brought 40 years of experience in Scotland’s whisky industry to the business. Their early years saw the release of a number of independently bottled single malt Irish whiskeys and a new distillery opened in 2020 on Ballindoney Farm, Grange, County Tipperary.
This single cask, single malt whiskey was distilled using only barley grown in a single field at Ballindoney Farm. The whiskey was matured for four years in first fill Ex-Bourbon casks before being transferred and finished in Ex Port Octaves. Maturation and bottling was done at Tipperary Distillery.
The whiskey is bottled at cask strength, 50.5% abv with no added colouring and is non chill-filtered.
