Redbreast PX Edition

Irish Whiskey from the Midleton Distillery

Gilbeys was a wine and spirit merchant located in Dublin. Along with several other wine and spirit merchants of the time, they sent their empty casks to the Jameson distillery to be filled with new make pure Irish pot still spirit. Redbreast was one of Gilbey's brands and launched in 1939. The brand died off with the closure of Jameson's distillery in the 1970s but was recently relaunched and has re-established itself as one of Ireland's premiere Irish pot still brands.
Full of aroma and flavour, Redbreast PX Edition single pot still was matured in ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso sherry casks, before being finished in PX casks. It's bottled at 46% ABV.
