Lough Ree Preview

Irish Whiskey by Lough Ree from an undisclosed distillery.

Lough Ree Distillery in Lanesborough, Co Longford was set up by Sheila Clancy and her brothers Michael and Peter, producing its first spirit in 2018. The micro distillery now has a visitor centre and has been the recipient of a number of national and international awards for their gin, vodka and whiskey.

Here we got a taste of the future, the next scheduled release from Lough Ree which is a 6 year old single malt, initially matured in rioja casks and is currently being finished in craft beer casks.

As with all of Lough Ree's whiskeys, it is a non chill-filtered whiskey with no added colour.
