Lough Ree Distillery in Lanesborough, Co Longford was set up by Sheila Clancy and her brothers Michael and Peter, producing its first spirit in 2018. The micro distillery now has a visitor centre and has been the recipient of a number of national and international awards for their gin, vodka and whiskey.

Lecarrow is part of Lough Ree's Bridge Series, a reference to the bridge over the Shannon in the town and the concept of bridging the period from the distillery’s founding to producing its own distillate.A single cask release, Lecarrow is a 12 year old single grain whiskey, matured in an ex-Bourbon Cask and then finished for 2 years and 10 months in a shaved, toasted, rechar (STR) red wine cask.

It is a non chill-filtered whiskey with no added colour, bottled at 46% abv.
