Lough Ree Distillery in Lanesborough, Co Longford was set up by Sheila Clancy and her brothers Michael and Peter, producing its first spirit in 2018. The micro distillery now has a visitor centre and has been the recipient of a number of national and international awards for their gin, vodka and whiskey.

Killinure is part of Lough Ree's Bridge Series, a reference to the bridge over the Shannon in the town and the concept of bridging the period from the distillery’s founding to producing its own distillate.The Killinure is a 12 year old single grain whiskey, initially matured in an ex-bourbon cask and finished for 2 years and 10 months in a Grand Cru Bordeaux red wine cask.

It is a non chill-filtered whiskey with no added colour, bottled at 46% abv.
