The Bushmills Causeway collection is a series of exclusive, limited edition single malts crafted to showcase the best of Bushmills Single Malt Irish whiskey. The team have sourced some very special casks and choose to further mature their ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso matured whiskeys for a considerable amount of time in these special casks. The period of time would suggest more a secondary maturation than merely a finish. The releases are bottled at cask strength.

This release is from 18 year old ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso whiskeys, married and recasked for a further 2 years in vermouth casks, a first for Irish whiskey. These French oak casks held their fortified herbal wine coming from the Piedmont region in Italy. The release was bottled at 48.2% abv. Non-chill filtered, no added colouring.
