Irish Whiskey from the West Cork Distillery

West Cork Distillery was started back in 2003 by childhood friends, John O'Connell and the McCarthy brothers, Ger and Denis. John comes from a food science background, while Ger and Denis worked in the fishing industry. Their humble beginnings in Union Hall led them forward to setting up in Skibbereen in 2008, where they are located to this day. Their growth has been exceptional, and they are now one of the biggest in Ireland.

This expression is a blended whiskey of 66% grain whiskey and 34% malt whiskey. It has been matured in first fill ex-bourbon barrels for 3 years, with a further year in heavily charred bourbon barrels. It has been bottled at 40% ABV.
