Irish Whiskey from the West Cork Distillery

West Cork Distillery was started back in 2003 by childhood friends, John O'Connell and the McCarthy brothers, Ger and Denis. John comes from a food science background, while Ger and Denis worked in the fishing industry. Their humble beginnings in Union Hall led them forward to setting up in Skibbereen in 2008, where they are located to this day. Their growth has been exceptional, and they are now one of the biggest operations in Ireland.

This 7 year old single malt uses 100% Irish Malted Barley. It has been matured in Bodega Olorosso casks from the Tolerina Rodriguez bodega in Cadiz, Spain for 4 years then further aged in first fill Bourbon Barrels for 3 years. It is natural colour, non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% ABV.
