PJ and Denise Rigney began producing whiskey at the Shed Distillery in the village of Drumshanbo on the shores of Lough Allen in County Leitrim in 2014. It was the first whiskey produced in the province of Connacht in over 100 years.
Using malted Irish barley, un-malted Irish barley and Irish barra oats, Drumshanbo Single Malt is aged in sherry oloroso and Kentucky bourbon casks with no added colour and no chill filtration.
It is bottled at 43% abv.
